HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer Mr. Juho Sarvikas has announced his exit from the company. Mr. Sarvikas was associated with Nokia and HMD for 15 years and was appointed as the Vice President of HMD’s North America business in June 2020, where he was responsible for building relationships with carriers and ecosystem partners and expanding Nokia’s product lineup.
Mr. Sarvikas hasn’t revealed his future plans yet, and it’s unclear if he’ll be present at HMD’s April 8 event to introduce new Nokia smartphones one last time before leaving the company.
After amazing 15 years with Nokia and HMD, I have made the tough decision that is time to move on. I’m so proud of what we have achieved together and know that the success of HMD & Nokia phones will continue. Follow @nokiamobile for Nokia Phones news. HMD is expected to unveil three new Nokia smartphones at the April 8 event – G10, X10, and X20. HMD hasn’t divulged anything about these phones yet, but rumors have it that the G10 will have a Helio P22 SoC at the helm and will be sold at €140.
The X10 and X20, on the other hand, will have the Snapdragon 480 chip under the hood, and the latter was even spotted on Geekbench last week with 6GB RAM onboard.
We’ll hopefully see more information about these smartphones surface before the expected April 8 unveiling.
