Indian Xiaomi Poco M2 units are receiving February 2021 security patches

Xiaomi appears to be keeping a decently tight security update schedule for the Poco M2 in India. After dropping the major MIUI 12 overhaul package back in December, the Chinese manufacturer is now seeding a V12.0.3.0.QJPINXM package to Indian units.

As per the changelog, the OTA update seems to only include Google’s February 2021 Android security patches. With a size of 587MB, however, we have to wonder if perhaps there are more fixes hidden away here. Regardless, initial response to the update seems to be positive within the user community.

And just in case you missed the major changes that MIUI 12 brought about late last year, you can take a look at our detailed breakdown.
