Honor X40 GT to arrive on October 13 with a Snapdragon 888

The Honor X40 series is getting a GT variant, a rumor suggested last week. Today the company officially confirmed its arrival and shared a teaser for the upcoming smartphone. The X40 GT will arrive this Thursday, October 13, and will have a Snapdragon 888 chipset.

The official teaser also revealed three cameras on a huge circular island on the back, lined in an X-formation with the LED flash.

The front of the phone will have a single punch hole in the center and we are pretty confident the panel is an OLED, given how the less powerful and cheaper vanilla X40 is already sporting a 120HZ AMOLED display.

The Honor X40 GT is already up for pre-registration on major online retailers in China with no price yet – it is likely to remain the last unknown. There are three days to the event, meaning we expect to learn more details and features about this phone that is clearly launching only in China initially.
