Honor Play 3e is the latest affordable smartphone, costs about $100

In a world where flagships are easily selling for over $1,000, one might think there are no more affordable phones on the market. Well, Huawei tends to break that stigma with its latest device that costs just about $100 – Honor Play 3e.

The Honor Play 3e comes with MT6762R chipset by MediaTek, coupled with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage. There is also a variant with 3/64 GB memory, which is slightly more expensive. The back panel is occupied by a single 13 MP camera and a neat design.

On the front, we have an LCD panel that is 5.71” in diagonal and has an HD+ resolution. The selfie camera is tucked in a notch and has a basic 5 MP sensor and f/2.2 aperture. The battery of the phone is 3,020 mAh, while the software is EMUI 9.1, based on Android Pie.

The phone is available for pre-order for CNY699 ($100/€90) or CNY899 ($125/€115). It can be purchased in three colors – Magic Night Black, Platinum Gold, and Aurora Blue, and two lucky pre-orders come with tickets for a 3-day vacation to Dubai.
