Honor Magic 8 Pro Air, Honor Magic 8 RSR Launched: Everything to Know

Honor Magic 8 Pro Air has been announced by the brand in China and its USP is the 6.1mm thick body while still packing a decently-sized 5500mAh battery. Alongside, the company debuted the Honor Magic 8 RSR with a Porsche inspired design. Here’s everything to know about the two new phones.

Honor Magic 8 Pro Air: Price, Specifications

The Magic 8 Pro Air starts at CNY 4,999 (approx Rs 65,200) for the base 12GB + 256GB model and is available in Fairy Purple, Light Orange, Feather White, and Shadow Black shades.

Honor Magic 8 Pro Air sports a 6.31-inch full-HD+ (1,216×2,640 pixels) LTPO OLED display with 1800 nits global peak brightness, 6000 nits HDR brightness, Dolby Vision, 100% DCI-P3, and a 461 ppi. It runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Chipset paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM, and 1TB of storage. It runs on Android 16-based Magic OS 10.0.

For optics, the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air has a triple rear camera unit, headlined by a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.6 Aperture and support for OIS. The camera setup also includes a 50-megapixel f/2.2 ultra wide-angle camera and a 64-megapixel f/2.6 telephoto camera with support for OIS, up to 100x Digital Zoom and 3.2x optical zoom. On the front, it has a 50-megapixel f/2.0 wide-angle camera.

The Honor Magic 8 Pro Air packs a 5500mAh cell and supports 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Connectivity options available on the handset include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v6.0, GPS/AGPS, Galileo, GLONASS, Beidou, NFC, OTG, and a USB Type-C port. It further gets an IP68 + IP69 rated build for dust and water resistance, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for biometrics, an IR blaster, and stereo speakers.

Honor Magic 8 RSR: Price, Specifications

The Magic 8 RSR starts at CNY 7,999 for the base 16GB + 512GB model and costs CNY 8,999 for the top-end 24GB + 1TB model. It comes in Slate Gray and Moonstone shades.

Honor Magic 8 RSR sports a 6.71-inch full-HD+ (1,256×2,808 pixels) LTPO OLED display with 1800 nits global peak brightness, 6000 nits HDR brightness, 4320Hz PWM dimming, HONOR Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield, DCI-P3 wide colour gamut, Dolby Vision, and a 458 ppi. It runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Chipset paired with Adreno GPU, up to 24GB LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. It runs on Android 16-based Magic OS 10.0.

For optics, the Honor Magic 8 RSR has a triple rear camera unit, headlined by a 1/1.3-inch 50-megapixel primary sensor with an Aperture of f/1.6 and support for OIS. The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel f/2.0 ultra wide-angle camera and a 200-megapixel f/2.6 periscope telephoto camera with support for up to 100x Digital Zoom and 3.7x Optical Zoom and OIS also. On the front, it has a 50-megapixel f/2.0 wide-angle camera and a 3D depth camera.

The Honor Magic 8 RSR gets a 7200mAh battery cell. It supports 120W wired charging and 80W wireless charging. Connectivity options available on the Honor Magic 8 RSR include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v6.0, GPS/AGPS, Galileo, GLONASS, Beidou, NFC, OTG, and a USB Type-C port. It further gets an IP69K + IP68 rated build for dust and water resistance, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for biometrics, and stereo speakers with Honor Surround Sub-Woofer system.
