Grab the telescope that helped me stargaze in a light-polluted city — the Unistellar Odyssey Pro is now $1149 cheaper for Black Friday

Black Friday sees retailers competing with each other to bring you the best deals and we have spotted a big one. Amazon is currently offering the Unistellar Odyssey Pro for $249 cheaper than it is on Unistellar’s own sitewide Black Friday sale. I’ve used it to image a whole bunch of night sky objects, including nebulas, stars and galaxies.

You can get the Unistellar Odyssey Pro on sale for $3350 from Amazon.

Unistellar has built a strong reputation for beginner-friendly gear throughout its range of smart telescopes. The Odyssey Pro is another Unistellar telescope that is known for its sleek design and easy celestial viewing. In our expert review, we gave the Unistellar Odyssey Pro four and a half stars for its small form factor, quiet operation and great images of star clusters.

Save $1149 on this beginner-friendly smart telescope that even works in light-polluted areas to observe and image over 5,000 night sky objects.

We gave it four and a half stars in our Unistellar Odyssey Pro review and we have used it since for continued night sky observation and astrophotography. It is easily operated via an intuitive smartphone app.View Deal

  • Our Black Friday hub is back, where we highlight all the best deals of Black Friday 2025.
  • We’ve also got you covered with reviews and rankings of the best telescopes, binoculars, star projectors, cameras, drones, Lego, streaming and more.

The Odyssey Pro makes it easy to take pictures of the night sky and save them as memories forever. This telescope can capture great images of deep space objects and even when used in a light-polluted city. I managed to get a range of photographs of faint celestial objects such as star clusters and nebulas from my city balcony.

It’s super simple to set up, too. First, turn on the telescope and connect it to your phone, then click align, and the telescope will align. Now you are ready to observe! Choose from over 5,000 objects in Unistellar’s database, and the telescope will point to it automatically. The telescope even focuses the image for you as you sit back and watch your chosen target appear on screen. Using Unistellar’s enhanced vision mode, the telescope will gather exposures of four seconds each and stack them so that what first appeared as a faint outline of a galaxy now looks brighter with much more detail. The longer you leave it, the better the detail.

In our Unistellar Odyssey pro review, we praised the weight of the model, at just under 9 lbs, it makes it a great choice for taking out to a dark sky site when you want to be traveling light without sacrificing on quality. This is the cheapest we have ever seen this telescope and Amazon is driving a hard bargain as usual during Black Friday. Make sure you check out our Black Friday hub for all the best deals already available and catch the new ones as they come in across skywatching gear, cameras, Lego and technology.

Key features: Newtonian reflector optical design, 5-hour battery life, 4.1 MP Sony sensor, 3.3-inch (85 mm) aperture, 12.6-inch (320 mm) focal length, weight 8.8 lbs (4 kg), fully motorized alt-azimuth mount, 64 GB storage, Nikon-made eyepiece, celestial database of over 5,000 objects.

Product launched: January 2024

Price history: The retail price for Unistellar Odyssey Pro is $4,499. Unistellar has a site wide 20% discount for Black Friday but this deal from Amazon takes it further and offers a huge 26% off the telescope.

Price comparison: Amazon: $3350 | Adorama: $3350 | Unistellar: $3599

Reviews consensus: We thought it gave us great views of the Ring Nebula and the Hercules globular cluster in our Odyssey Pro review. Other users praise the automation, portability and Nikon-made eyepiece for the Pro model. Some users wanted more battery life.

Space: ★★★★½ | Digital Camera World: ★★★★½

✅ Buy it if: You want a quick set-up telescope that you can easily control with a smartphone app and get stargazing in seconds.

❌ Don’t buy it if: You need manual controls or higher resolution. Traditional astronomers may prefer the Unistellar eVscope 2, which is also on sale for Black Friday.
