Google Pixel 10a Rumour Roundup: Everything We Know

Google Pixel 10a launch seems to be right around the corner and as usual, a lot of information has already leaked about the device leaving little to speculate. Here’s a rumour roundup for the upcoming Google Pixel 10a so you know what to expect from the device when it launches a few weeks from now per reports.

Google Pixel 10a Design

Leaked all the way back in October of last year, the renders for the Pixel 10a suggest that the device will have an identical back design as the Pixel 9a with a small camera pill housing the two Sensors instead of the protruding camera bar which Google ditched with the 9a. Aside from that, it’ll feature flat sides and identical button placement as well.

However, those renders suggested that the device may have slimmer bezels around the display compared to the obnoxiously thick bezels we saw with the Pixel 9a. But, newer renders which got leaked a week ago (via Android Headlines) suggest the bezels will be identical in size, so there’s no improvement there.

Google Pixel 10a Specifications (Leaked)

Rumours point towards Pixel 10a sporting similar specifications as the Pixel 9a. Per leaks, the device is set to sport a 6.3-inch full-HD+ pOLED display with a Resolution of 1080 x 2424 pixels, and a 120Hz Refresh Rate. This is identical to what the Pixel 9a sports.

Moreover, the Pixel 10a may sport a superior Tensor G4 chip compared to the Tensor G4 variant used in Pixel 9a. Further, it could come with 8GB of RAM and at least 128GB of storage.

Pixel 10a may also include a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 48MP primary sensor paired with a 13MP ultra-wide angle sensor. On the front, there is a 13MP sensor as well. Again, these are same as the Pixel 9a camera hardware. However, the choice of Sensors may be different compared to the 9a but we’ll know more about that at the time of launch.

Connectivity options will include 5G, of course. On the battery front, there appears to be a 5100mAh cell powering the Pixel 10a which is also the same capacity as its predecessor. With not much changing in the Pixel 10 series compared to the Pixel 9 series, it is highly likely that Google may only be going for a minor chip upgrade in the Pixel 10a over the 9a.

Google Pixel 10a Price, Launch Timeline

Another recent leak suggests the Pixel 10a will launch in mid-February which is earlier than when the Pixel 9a debuted in 2025. It could be made available in Obsidian, Berry, Fog, and Lavender shades and in two models: 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. A report from Dealabs Magazine backs the leak with exact dates, hinting that Google will begin accepting pre-orders on February 18 at around 6pm Central European Time (CET) with open sales beginning March 5.

The same report indicates that the Google Pixel 10a will start at EUR 549 (approx Rs 58,000) for the 128GB variant, while the 256GB storage model may cost EUR 649 (approx Rs 69,000) in Europe. These prices are identical to the Pixel 9a which suggests that Google may not go for a price hike with the Pixel 10a in some regions.
