Gadget-Bot takes Kaidro anime RPG to Ronin blockchain

Gadget-Bot Productions, the creator of blockbusters such as Alita: Battle Angel and Jurassic World, will debut its anime-style RPG Kaidro on the Ronin blockchain.

Headed by Peggy Chung and Robert Simons, Gadget-Bot is building Kaidro, which was inspired by a beloved webcomic intellectual property. The company unveiled the title with an exclusive trailer.

Moreover, Gadget-Bot declared that Kaidro will debut exclusively on Ronin, the blockchain forged for gaming by Sky Mavis, the maker of Axie Infinity.

Kaidro promises a captivating narrative within a post-apocalyptic world, where factions armed with mechs clash against formidable magic users. The game’s design seamlessly blends player-versus-player, player-versus-environment, and questing mechanics. Teams of three players each, armed with mechs, embark on challenging missions, battling both enemy factions and each other.

Sky Mavis CEO Trung Nguyen, said in a statement, “The Kaidro franchise, spanning web comics, games, and animations, is prime for Web3 integration, and we see great potential in collaborating to bring uniquely crafted IP to Ronin and beyond.”

What makes Kaidro unique is its journey from a webcomic to an animated series and now an action-packed RPG. Gadget-Bot aims for a transmedia storytelling experience, leveraging the existing fanbase of the Kaidro Webtoon series. The game incorporates Web3 elements on its website hub, offering an immersive experience that spans multiple platforms and introduces Kaidro to a broader audience.

“In our journey to bring Kaidro to life, we’ve found incredible partners who align with our vision for the future. As we unveil the next phase of Kaidro, we’re excited to announce our collaboration with Ronin, which will serve as a primary stage for our upcoming launches,” said Chung, cofounder of Gadget-Bot, in a statement. “Stay tuned for exclusive launches and follow our social channels for news about our upcoming mint, which are crucial in the evolution of Kaidro’s universe and IP. We invite our fans and the Ronin community to join us in this exciting phase.

The partnership with Ronin marks a strategic move for Gadget-Bot. The collaboration aims to change how gamers engage with content, utilizing the potential of blockchain technology to enhance player experiences and introduce novel concepts to the gaming world.

Beyond the game itself, Kaidro has assembled a team of veteran collaborators. Tim Hedrick, known for his work on Avatar: The Last Airbender and Voltron: Legendary Defender, was tapped to create the trailer and an animated TV series.

Additionally, the music duo Odesza, known for their contributions to Game of Thrones and the Divergent series, brings their unique sound to the Kaidro trailer, infusing the world with heightened emotion.
