First Samsung Galaxy S23 teaser videos hit the web

A few days ago Samsung accidentally confirmed the February 1 date for the Galaxy unpacked event that will introduce the S23 series to the world and now it seems that the division in China has already posted a couple of teaser videos for the new flagships.

Like the invitation image, the main visual element in these videos are three camera lenses. The first video talks of “megapixels that’ll make you say wooow”, so this is a teaser for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which is expected to upgrade to a 200MP main camera.

Leakster has been saying that the new hardware and better processing of the S23 series will improve night photography and video, which is what the second teaser video is about – it says that “stunning night photos are coming sooon”. And yes, the three o’s are camera lenses.

The Cat has been complaining that Samsung has focused on the new main camera for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which didn’t leave enough resources to upgrade the periscope hardware – that upgrade will have to wait until the S24 Ultra. By the sound of it, the upcoming S23 Ultra will even skimp on the 40MP selfie camera and use a 12MP sensor instead. At least the new main camera and chipset will enable 8K @ 30fps video, previous models were capped at 24fps.
