The White House is set to host its first major crypto summit, bringing industry giants and policymakers together under Trump’s administration. Key figures, potential regulations, and a new crypto reserve take center stage.

White House Hosts First-Ever Crypto Summit Under Trump Administration

The White House is set to host a major crypto summit, bringing together industry leaders and policymakers. The event, scheduled for March 7, marks a significant step in shaping the U.S. approach to digital assets under the Trump administration.

White House AI and crypto czar David Sacks announced the event on social media platform X on Feb. 28. He wrote:

President Trump will host the first White House Crypto Summit on Friday, March 7. Attendees will include prominent founders, CEOs, and investors from the crypto industry. Look forward to seeing everyone there!

According to a White House press release shared by Sacks, President Donald Trump will deliver remarks at the summit on March 7. Attendees will also include members of the President’s Working Group on Digital Assets. The summit will be chaired by Sacks and administered by the Working Group’s Executive Director Bo Hines.

On March 2, Sacks provided additional insights regarding the summit while commenting on President Trump’s announcement of a crypto reserve. “President Trump has announced a Crypto Strategic Reserve consisting of bitcoin and other top cryptocurrencies. This is consistent with his week-one E.O. 14178. President Trump is keeping his promise to make the U.S. the ‘Crypto Capital of the World.’ More to come at the Summit,” he stated.

Fox Business journalist Eleanor Terrett shared details about the summit on March 1. “Friday’s White House Crypto Summit will be the first in a series of confabs designed to replace the previously proposed ‘crypto advisory council’ as a way for the President’s Working Group on Digital Assets to collaborate with industry on policymaking. For Friday’s gathering, a list of around 25 invitees has been finalized, I’m told. Unclear at this moment who is on the list,” she wrote on X.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is heading to Washington D.C. at the end of this week, potentially to attend the summit. While it remains unconfirmed if he is on the invite list, his presence in the capital aligns with the timing of the event. The upcoming summit highlights the administration’s growing focus on crypto regulation and integration into the U.S. financial system. With industry leaders set to engage directly with policymakers, the event could play a crucial role in shaping future regulations and fostering collaboration between the private sector and the government.
