Exists launches GenAI platform to create 3D games from text prompts

AI startup Exists unveiled its generative AI platform  to enable anyone to create 3D games from text prompts.

The idea is to enable anyone to develop high-quality 3D computer games in minutes, using simple text prompts and requiring no coding skills.

The fully automated process runs on the Exists’ cloud-based creation platform. Powered by the startup’s proprietary generative AI models, users can create game-ready environments, characters, play mechanics, and more using an intuitive cloud-based ecosystem. You can judge the quality yourself looking at the video. Rivals include Bitmagic.

An AI-generated game landscape.

The platform’s user-friendly interface eliminates traditional technical barriers, making game development as simple as typing out a concept. At the heart of the Exists’ platform is a novel neural network architecture that integrates generative AI breakthroughs with advanced gaming engine capabilities.

The company said this allows the platform to combine the creative potential of AI-driven content with the performance of modern gaming engines so users can create visually stunning and mechanically complex games with minimal effort. Exists is currently in its closed Beta phase and is inviting users to sign up for early access.

In addition to its consumer platform, the company is also working with leading gaming studios to integrate its technology as a user-generated content (UGC) platform for released games. This will promote new ways to create content and gaming mods by the franchises’ existingcommunities.

Exists will showcase its new technology at Gamescom 2024. From August 21 to 25 in Cologne, Germany, Exists will be exhibiting in the Business Area, Hall 2.2, Booth C046a. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness live demonstrations and interact with the platform’s features.

Key features of the Exists platform include:

Exists’ text–to-game platform.
  • AI-generated assets: Users can create stunning game assets, and quality environments with just a few clicks.
  • User-friendly interface: The cloud-based platform features an intuitive interface, making game creation and modification as easy as dragging and dropping.
  • Generative technology: Produce high-quality games quickly using GenAI instructions.
  • Instant multiplayer games: Quickly turn ideas into multiplayer-ready experiences where people can play against friends.
  • Advanced customization: Personalize everything from environmental settings to character designs and gameplay mechanics.
  • Cinematic rendering: Transform games into cinematic shows with high-quality rendering tools.

“Our goal is to enable the same paradigm shift in the gaming world that Generative AI has brought to text, image, video, and audio creation,” said Yotam Hechtlinger, CEO of Exists, in a statement. “Providing the public with a powerful technology to create unique and personalized games sees us democratizing game creation and revolutionizing the gaming industry.”

“Through our innovative neural architecture and integration with the world’s top gaming engines, we offer the easiest way yet to create engaging multiplayer games, such as personalized 3D shooters or top-down games, and open a massive canvas of unlimited potential to anyone who wants to experience the excitement of game creation,” added Hechtlinger, an AI researcher with a doctorate in machine learning and statistics from Carnegie Mellon University.
