Exclusive: Ai+ NovaFlip Foldable Phone Official Launch Timeline Set for March

Madhav Sheth, the founder of Ai+, has confirmed that the brand’s first flip-style foldable smartphone is officially scheduled for a March launch in India. Speaking in an interview with The Mobile Indian, Sheth shared the timeline for the Ai+ NovaFlip foldable phone, which will serve as the flagship entry for the brand’s 2026 lineup. This announcement marks a significant step for the young company as it enters the competitive foldable segment, thereby bringing high-end hardware to a broader audience.

Back in December last year, the brand confirmed that the Ai+ NovaFlip foldable phone will run on NxtQuantum OS, an Android-based platform, which Ai+ states is designed to adapt between folded and unfolded states of the device. According to the company, NxtQuantum OS is designed with zero preloaded bloatware, no trackers and full user control over personal data. The company is marketing this software as a long-term product, rejecting short-term engagement tactics that rely on user data collection and preinstalled apps.

The March release of the Ai+ NovaFlip foldable phone is part of a calculated, lean product strategy where Ai+ plans to launch only five to six smartphones throughout the entire year. By focusing on a narrow window and a small number of devices, Sheth explained that the company wants to avoid consumer confusion and further build trust. The brand is positioning the flip phone as a “mass-affordable” premium device, as the device has already been confirmed to be priced under Rs 40,000.

This specific launch timing coincides with a broader ecosystem expansion for Ai+. Alongside the flip phone, the brand is preparing to release Pulse and Nova series 4G and 5G tablets between April and June, as well as a range of “purpose-driven” wearables. These include smartwatches with built-in earbuds and specialised health-tracking features like real-time blood pressure monitoring. However, the flip smartphone remains the immediate priority for the company’s Q1 roadmap.

The March launch will be handled exclusively through Flipkart to maintain a direct-to-consumer pricing model. Sheth noted that by avoiding the overhead costs of large-format physical stores, the brand can launch phones at a price point that would otherwise be impossible.

With the hardware finalised and the launch window set, the focus now switches to the official unveiling next month, where the final specifications and further pricing for the Indian market will also be revealed.

The expansion isn’t limited to phones, as a variety of new wearables are also on the horizon. Among these is a smartwatch that houses earbuds inside the casing and a 4G LTE watch capable of making video calls through a built-in camera. Interestingly, Sheth mentioned they are working on a health watch that uses an inflatable mechanism to track blood pressure in real-time, which is currently being tested for accuracy and certification. Other upcoming accessories include earbuds that can track heart rate and oxygen levels directly through the ear.
