Coolpad launched the Cool 5 last October with a Helio P22 SoC, 6.22″ notched display, and 13MP dual camera. Today the company followed up with its successor, dubbed Coolpad Cool 6, which offers some substantial updates.
One of the headline features of the Coolpad Cool 6 is its screen, which is a 6.53″ notchless panel having a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. This is possible due to the pop-up selfie camera that has a 21MP sensor.
Around the back, we have a fingerprint reader keeping coming to the triple camera setup comprising a 48MP primary and two 2MP units that are unlikely to contribute much to your photos.
Under the hood, the Coolpad Cool 6 has a Helio P70 SoC with a 4,000 mAh battery that draws power through a USB-C port. The smartphone runs Android 10 out of the box and has two memory options – 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. It also comes with a dedicated slot for a microSD card, which allows storage expansion by up to 256GB.
