Coinbase and Galaxy Unite to Set New Benchmark in Institutional Crypto Staking

Institutional crypto adoption is accelerating as Galaxy Digital and Coinbase Prime unite to deliver a powerful new standard in secure, scalable staking access — merging world-class custody with institutional-grade validator infrastructure to fuel the next wave of digital asset growth.

Galaxy and Coinbase Prime Join Forces to Elevate Institutional Staking Access

Institutional engagement with digital assets continues to expand as leading firms strengthen access to secure and diversified staking services. Galaxy Digital Inc. (Nasdaq/TSX: GLXY) announced on Oct. 29 that it has integrated its staking infrastructure with Coinbase Prime, the full-service prime brokerage platform from crypto exchange Coinbase (Nasdaq: COIN). The integration allows institutional clients to access Galaxy’s validator network directly through Coinbase’s custody system, streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency. The collaboration advances both companies’ institutional offerings and supports the broader adoption of digital assets.

The announcement details:

This integration positions Galaxy and Coinbase Prime as a powerful custodial, staking, and liquidity solution for ETFs and ETPs, pairing Coinbase’s trusted custody with Galaxy’s globally distributed validator network.

Zane Glauber, Head of Blockchain Infrastructure at Galaxy, stated that the initiative highlights increasing demand for institutional-grade staking solutions that merge scalability, reliability, and liquidity. Galaxy added: “Beyond staking, Galaxy offers trading, lending, and liquidity solutions, giving institutional clients a comprehensive platform for deploying digital assets productively and moving beyond passive allocation toward advanced, capital-efficient strategies.”

On social media platform X, Galaxy shared:

Coinbase Prime clients can now access Galaxy’s high-performance staking infrastructure directly through the Coinbase platform. The integration combines trusted custody with scalable, institutional-grade staking.

Coinbase Institutional also emphasized the development: “More quality staking choices, same integrated Prime experience. As we expand Prime’s open architecture for staking, institutions can now stake with Galaxy — combining Coinbase’s leading custody solution with Galaxy’s robust validator infrastructure.”

With $6.6 billion in assets under stake as of Sept. 30, 2025, Galaxy continues broadening its custodial integrations with Fireblocks, Zodia Custody, and Bitgo, marking another step toward more mature, scalable, and compliant institutional crypto participation.
