China Telecom reveals Oppo Reno5 5G and Reno5 Pro 5G details and pricing

After some Chinese stores and Oppo itself revealed a few key specs of the Oppo Reno5 5G and Reno5 Pro 5G, today’s listing on China Telecom’s website paints a much more detailed picture.

The images reveal a curved screen on both handsets but the Pro carries a bigger 6.55-inch panel while the non-Pro version settles for a 6.43-inch one. Both handsets feature OLED panels with 1080 x 2400px resolution and punch holes for the 32MP front-facing cameras.

As the previous rumors suggested, the vanilla Reno5 will get the Snapdragon 765G while the Pro model is getting the Dimensity 1000+ chip. Memory configurations for the Reno5 5G are 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB priced at CNY 3,299 ($500) and CNY 3,699 ($570). The Reno5 Pro 5G adopts the same memory options while asking CNY 3,899 ($600) and CNY 4,299 ($660) in return.

The rear camera configuration was also confirmed by China Telecom. In addition to the main 64MP you get an 8MP ultrawide unit and two 2MP auxiliary snappers will hardly contribute much to your photography experience.

Both handsets are confirmed to launch with Android 11 on board and to be powered by 4,300 mAh batteries supporting Oppos 65W fast charging tech.

As far as dimensions go, the vanilla is 159.1 x 73.4 x 7.9mm tipping the scale at 180g while the Reno5 Pro is 159.7 x 73.2 x 7.6mm and weighing 5 grams less.

The two phones are going official on December 10, but we are not sure there’s much left to announce at this point.
