The Realme 8 series brings improvements over their predecessors in several categories but the star of the show is undoubtedly the Pro model. We already got to spend some time with the Realme 8 Pro to gather some quick thoughts and bring you our key features video.
For a midrange device, the Realme 8 Pro brings a compelling design. The textured back is easy to grip and its gradient paint job shifts between different hues of blue. The Dare to Leap logo is another interesting touch and it even glows in the dark. While we’re here let’s talk about the phone’s biggest selling point – its 108MP main camera.
This is Samsung’s 1/1.52″ ISOCELL HM2 sensor boasting 0.7 μm pixel size and Super-PD autofocus. You can take 3x zoomed-in shots which come out from stitching together eight 12MP photos in quick succesion. Realme is also bringing several interesting additions including astrophotography time-lapse videos, tilt-shift time-lapse photos and videos as well as several portrait filters. Rounding out the camera department is an 8MP ultrawide snapper and two 2MP modules for macro shots and depth data.
The 8 Pro also packs a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 720G sits at the helm while the software front is covered by Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11. The battery comes in at 4,500mAh battery and is paired with 50W Dart charging.
