Lyten completes takeover of Northvolt battery sites in Sweden

Lyten, a lithium-sulfur battery maker based in San Jose, California, has officially completed its acquisition of Northvolt Ett and Ett Expansion in Skellefteå, Sweden, as well as Northvolt Labs in Västerås. The deal gives Lyten 16 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of existing battery manufacturing capacity, more than 160 hectares (395 acres) of land, and the buildings and infrastructure to expand further.
