Canon Japan confirms its RF 70-200mm F4 is delayed until March 2021 due to ‘insufficient supply’

Canon Japan has announced the release of its RF 70–200mm F4 L IS USM, which announced on back in November and was set to be available sometime this month, has been delayed.

In an notice on its website, Canon Japan says (translated using DeepL) the lens ‘has been postponed to early March 2021 due to insufficient supply for the launch.’ Canon says it apologizes ‘for any inconvenience this may cause to customers who have been waiting for this product’ and says it ‘will do our utmost to make it available.’
