Asus ROG Phone 3 is our Best Gaming phone of 2020, LG Wing 5G wins Trailblazer category

Last week we had a round of voting to determine the Best Phones of 2020 in seven different categories. While five categories continue to a final this week, two categories have their outright winners.

The Asus ROG Phone 3 ZS661KS knocked out its competition – with three quarters of votes it is our Best Gaming phone of 2020.

Asus has built a strong brand of gaming hardware that spans PC components, laptops and (for three years running) an Android smartphone. The Lenovo Legion Duel is also backed by a PC gaming brand, though it only managed third place. It was behind the Black Shark 3 Pro, which had the Xiaomi brand loyalists behind it.

Check out our detailed review for an in-depth look into the phone, its performance and its accessories. The ROG Phone 3 is also the Editor’s Choice pick in our gaming phones buyer’s guide.

The LG Wing 5G also dominated its category and is the Best Trailblazer phone of 2020 with just under two thirds of the vote.

LG has a long history of innovation, but doesn’t always get the recognition it deserves. Not this year, though, its rotating dual screen contraption shows much more promise than Microsoft’s dual screen Surface phone, according to our voters.
