Apple iPhone 17e, iPad Air M4 Launched in India: All Details

Apple iPone 17e and the new iPad Air M4 have been launched by the company across the world. The new iPhone 17e darws power from the company’s A19 chipset and is available with up to 512GB of storage. Further, the new iPad Air M4 retains the same design but gets an upgraded chip and Apple’s modems.

Apple iPhone 17e: Price, Availability, Specifications

The Apple iPhone 17e is available in Soft Pink, Black, and White shades. It comes in 256GB and 512GB storage options, priced at Rs 64,900 and Rs 84,900, respectively. iPhone 17e will be available for pre-order beginning Wednesday, March 4, with availability starting Wednesday, March 11.

The iPhone 17e has a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED panel. It supports HDR, TruTone, 60Hz refresh rate, 2532 x 1170 pixels resolution at 460 ppi, and 1200 nits of peak HDR brightness. Under the hood, it is powered by the company’s A19 Bionic Chipset and further has support for Apple Intelligence. The device also gets the Action button. It further has 8GB RAM and up to 512GB storage.

The iPhone 17e has a single OIS-assisted 48MP f/1.6 primary camera which is said to support a 2-in-1 system that also enables 12MP 2x telephoto zoom. There is a 12MP TrueDepth camera on the front of the iPhone 17e with an f/1.9 lens. You also get 3D Face ID tech inside the notch. The iPhone 16e packs a battery that gives 26 hours of video playback and 90-hour audio playback. It comes with Fast charging and Qi wireless charging support via MagSafe chargers.

The Apple iPhone 17e has Apple’s C1X modem, enabling Bluetooth 5.3, Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) with 2×2 MIMO, and NFC with reader mode. In select countries, the device has support for satellite features – including Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, Messages, and Find My via satellite. Location positioning is handled via GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, BeiDou and NavIC.

Additionally, it equips stereo speakers for audio and a USB-C port for fast charging and IP68 water resistance. The iPhone 17e runs on iOS 26 out of the box. The device now also has MagSafe support so all of Apple’s magnetic accessories now work with the new iPhone 17e.

Apple iPad Air M4: Price, Availability, Specifications

The new iPad Air M4 is available at the same starting price of Rs 64,900 for the 11-inch model and Rs 84,900 for the 13-inch model. And for education, the 11-inch iPad Air starts at Rs 59,900 and the 13-inch model starts at Rs 79,900. Customers can pre-order iPad Air starting Wednesday, March 4, with availability beginning Wednesday, March 11. The tablet will be available in blue, purple, starlight, and space grey colours.

The iPad Air (2026) is powered by Apple’s M4 chip, featuring an eight-core CPU with three performance cores and five efficiency cores, along with a nine-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine. The chip also supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing. With M4, Apple claims the new iPad Air is up to 30 percent faster than iPad Air with M3, and up to 2.3x faster than iPad Air with M1. The tablet further comes with 12GB of RAM and offers storage options going up to 1TB. It runs on iPadOS 26 and includes support for Apple Intelligence features.

On the front, the device is available with up to a 13-inch Liquid Retina IPS display with a resolution of 2,732 x 2,048 pixels and a Pixel density of 264 ppi. The panel supports up to 600 nits of peak brightness, the P3 wide colour gamut, and includes anti-reflective as well as fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coatings. The iPad Air (2026) is also compatible with Apple Pencil Pro and the USB Type-C version of the Apple Pencil, including support for the Apple Pencil Hover feature.

For cameras, the tablet features a single 12-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture, Autofocus with focus pixels, optical image stabilisation, and support for up to 5x digital zoom. On the front, there is a 12-megapixel f/2.0 camera with support for Apple’s Center Stage feature for video calls.

In terms of connectivity, the iPad Air (2026) supports Apple’s C1X cellular option, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and the N1 networking chip. It gets a Touch ID fingerprint sensor embedded power button up top. The tablet houses a 36.59Wh battery, which is rated for up to 10 hours of web browsing over Wi-Fi or up to 10 hours of video playback.
