Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max and 12 mini pass durability test

Now that they’re finally on sale, the iPhone 12 mini and 12 Pro Max are getting into peoples’ hands and beginning their work life. And those buyers will be happy to know that the pair is just as durable as the iPhone 12/12 Pro.

The Ceramic Shield screens both scratch at the usual level 6 on Mohs scale of hardness, but interestingly the grooves aren’t as deep as those on last year’s iPhone 11. Another interesting find is that a 50 second lighter test didn’t do permanent damage to the screen pixels, like it does on all OLED panels. Perhaps the ceramic molecules in the screen glass have something to do with it.

Here’s the entire durability test.
