Alleged Oppo Reno3 spec sheet points to 90Hz screen, 5G connectivity, 60MP camera

Oppo unveiled the Reno2 phones at the end of August and it may already be thinking about the third generation. An alleged spec sheet for the Oppo Reno3 has surfaced on Weibo and though it may not be 100% accurate, it promises a 90Hz screen, dual mode 5G connectivity, better camera selection and faster charging.

The phone will sport a 6.5” AMOLED panel with 1,080 x 2,400px resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. This is the same size and resolution as the Reno2. The in-display fingerprint reader has been preserved.

The quad camera on the rear is getting bumped up to a 60MP Sony IMX686 sensor. There will be a 5x telephoto camera (hybrid zoom, by the sound of it), plus an ultra wide and a black and white sensor.

It’s not clear if the Oppo Reno3 will use the shark fin design or any other type of pop-up camera. Either way, it will have a 32MP Samsung Bright GD1 sensor.

The battery is growing to 4,500mAh capacity and will gain 30W fast charging thanks to VOOC 4.0 (5V at 6A). There will be no wireless charging, despite the Gorilla Glass back (the frame will be made out of 6000-series aluminum).

The phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 735 chipset connected to 8GB of RAM with thermal paste and a graphite sheet to conduct heat away. The storage will be UFS 2.1 – 128GB or 256GB of it.

According to the sheet, the Reno3 will cost CNY 3,300/3,600 depending on the memory configuration (that’s roughly $475/$520 or €430/€465, though global prices will be higher than that). There’s no word on when the phone might be unveiled.
