Adobe Premiere Rush and Photoshop Express will soon be included in the $10/month Photography Plan

Adobe’s Photography Plan, which currently includes Lightroom, Photoshop and 20GB of cloud storage for $9.99 per month, is adding Adobe Premiere Rush and Adobe Photoshop Express at no additional cost beginning next week.

Adobe Premiere Rush is a quick video editing application available on desktop and mobile devices. It was originally unveiled in 2018 as Project Rush. Since launch, Adobe has added new features and functions, although Premiere Rush remains a simpler, more approachable and less powerful alternative to Premiere Pro.

Earlier this year, Adobe added M1 support to Rush and made significant improvements to the user interface and overall editing capabilities on iOS. It’s unclear what sort of improvements Rush may receive at next week’s virtual Adobe MAX conference.

Adobe Photoshop Express is a mobile app designed to be fast and easy to use. It doesn’t have the same powerful editing tools as Adobe Photoshop on desktop or iPad. Still, it allows users to quickly apply Looks, which are filters, and perform a variety of basic edits, such as highlights, shadows, whites, blacks, temperature, tint, vibrance, clarity, dehaze, sharpening, noise reduction and more. PS Express also includes the ability to work with layers, perform cutouts and apply different themes. The app can resize and export your photos for social media use, as well.

While existing Adobe Photography Plan subscribers may remain most likely to use the full-fledged versions Lightroom and Photoshop, including easy-to-use mobile apps and offering users a way to edit video as part of the Photography Plan is a nice bonus. While the Lightroom-only plan for $9.99 includes 1TB of storage, the $9.99 Photography Plan only includes 20GB of storage (with an option to upgrade to 1TB for an additional $9.99/month).
