A Nintendo Direct and Elden Ring DLC trailer drop on the same day

Nintendo Direct

February 21 is going to be a full day for gamers, as both Nintendo and Bandai Namco are dropping new details about their much-anticipated upcoming projects. Nintendo is holding its Partner Showcase at 6 am PT, while Bandai Namco is finally revealing details about Elden Ring’s big DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree at 7 am PT. It’s going to be a very interesting morning.

The Nintendo Direct is, according to the company, 25 minutes long and focuses on “Nintendo Switch games coming in the first half of 2024 from our publishing and development partners.” There’s a chance this might include Xbox’s Multiplatform Four, the games it recently announced would be coming to other consoles.

The Elden Ring trailer, on the other hand, will be only 3 minutes long. However, given that Elden Ring players have waited some time for an update on Shadow of the Erdtree — the DLC was first teased one year ago — it’s no less important. So far, From Software has not revealed much about the DLC save for a single piece of artwork. This artwork, however, contained a hint that players would finally meet Miquella, the brother of the infamous Malenia.

These aren’t the only gaming showcases this month, as The Pokemon Company is holding a Pokemon Presents stream on February 27. Nacon is also holding its Connect showcase on February 29, where it’s rumored it might show off its upcoming survival game set in the Terminator universe.
