2022 iPhones to feature UD fingerprint sensors, come in only two sizes

The reputable Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo just published another investors note, containing some interesting predictions on the 2022 iPhones.

iPhones next year to feature UD Touch ID, expect four models and two sizes

For starters, the iPhone 2022 lineup will reportedly only have two display sizes – 6.1″ and 6.7″ and four models in total. Their marketing names are supposed to be iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Arguably the most intriguing part is that the vanilla Max will be the cheapest 6.7-inch iPhone ever with an expected price below $900.

Key highlights that should boost the sales of the iPhone 14 are the significant hardware upgrades such as in-house developed under-display Touch ID and 48MP sensor on the back of the Pro models. And, of course, the relatively low price of the low-end 6.7-inch iPhone.

These rumors are also in line with Kuo’s previous predictions that the iPhone mini series is ending with the 13 mini this year after the market flop that is the 12 mini.
