Samsung introduced the Galaxy A11 back in May 2020 with an entry-level Snapdragon 450 chipset and a basic 6.4” HD+ screen. The device received Android 11 last year, and now it is getting Android 12.
The package comes with firmware version A115FXXU3CVI3 and also brings a security patch dated August 2022, adressing “dozens of privacy and security vulnerabilities”.
The Android 12 in the Galaxy A11 has One UI Core 4.1 on top. This means the phone will get the Color Palette feature, improved widgets and the way a user can pick them. The audio output device can now be selected through the lock screen, and Dark Mode comes with minor improvements.
All stock apps on the Galaxy A11 are improved – the camera app has a cleaner design, the Gallery comes with better sorting, Samsung Keyboard gains support for Grammarly and the sharing menu has been fixed.
The update is currently hitting devices in Southeast Asia, but it will hit other versions soon. It can also be found at Settings -> Software Update and then Download and Install.
